Football Skills Development Program

Beginner – Intermediate

Course Overview:

The Football Skills Development Program is designed for beginners & Intermediates who
want to learn the fundamentals of football in a structured and supportive environment by Championi Football
Academy. This program focuses on teaching essential skills, understanding the rules of the game, and developing
physical fitness. Whether you’re new to football or looking to build a solid foundation, this program is the perfect
starting point for young athletes and sports enthusiasts.

Program Content:

Week 1-4: Introduction to Football

- Orientation: Overview of the program, expectations, and goals. - Basic Rules: Introduction to the rules of football, including the layout of the pitch, player positions, and scoring.

Week 10-15: Passing and Receiving

- Passing Fundamentals: Techniques for accurate passing, including short passes, long passes, and through balls. - Receiving the Ball: How to control and receive the ball with different parts of the body (feet, chest, thighs).

Week 23-30: Team Play and Positioning

- Teamwork Drills: Exercises to develop teamwork, communication, and understanding of player roles. - Positioning: Learning about different positions on the pitch and how to play in those positions during a match.

Week 5-9: Dribbling and Ball Control

- Dribbling Techniques: Learning how to control the ball while moving, including close control and speed dribbling. - Ball Control: Exercises to improve touch, ball handling, and foot coordination.

Week 16-22: Shooting and Defending

- Shooting Techniques: Basics of shooting on goal, including accuracy, power, and finishing. - Defensive Skills: Introduction to tackling, marking, and positioning to prevent opponents from scoring.

Week 31-36: Practice Matches and Review

- Practice Games: Participants will play in small-sided games to apply what they’ve learned in a real match setting. - Program Recap: Review of key skills and concepts, feedback from coaches, and guidance for further development.

Assessment Methods:

- Skills Assessment: Regular observation and feedback on individual skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting.
- Fitness Evaluation: Monitoring improvements in physical fitness through drills and exercises.
- Match Performance: Assessment during practice matches to evaluate understanding of game concepts, positioning, and teamwork.
- Final Evaluation: A summary of progress, highlighting strengths and areas for further development.
Resources:
- Equipment: Participants are required to bring basic football gear, including cleats, shin guards, and a
water bottle. Footballs and other training equipment will be provided.
- Coaching Staff: Experienced coaches with backgrounds in youth football development will lead the
sessions, ensuring personalized attention and support.
- Facilities: Training sessions will take place on a well-maintained football pitch, with access to changing
rooms and rest areas.

Enrolment Requirements:

- Age Group: Suitable for participants aged 18-28 years.
- Physical Readiness: Participants should be in good health and able to engage in physical activities.
- Attire: Appropriate sportswear, including football cleats and shin guards, will be provided from
institute.

Instructor:

UEFA License Coach: Coach has over 8 years of experience coaching youth football. He specializes in grassroots football and is dedicated to helping young players develop their skills, confidence, and love for the game.
